Although I have engaged in many things (teaching, diving, sailing, biking to name a few), photography has always been my primary passion.

Looking through a lens at almost any subject engages me in the same way that meeting and talking with a person does. Yes, I am aware of light, texture, shape, but also a feeling, an essence; and I immediately begin to see images within images and try to capture those elusive moments that say, "That's it---that's the essense!" Sometimes that perfect moment comes quickly...sometimes it doesn't. It becomes a matter, I think, of seeing with more than just my eyes...it becomes a unique vision that I hope is special and adds an inestimable value to the joy that is life.
